High in the mountains of the Abruzzo region of Italy is Capo d’Acqua, a small lake filled with clear spring water that covers fascinating medieval ruins. The buildings are extensive, and the dive covers an area that takes 45 minutes to explore. To protect this site, you can only dive with Atlantide, in nearby L’Aquila. Diving is usually followed by a huge Italian lunch, with plate after plate of delicious local specialties. — AM
